Terms and conditions

These terms are a translation of the Danish version. If the two versions differ, the Danish version prevails.

1. General

These terms and conditions apply to your use of Consentaur (the "Service"). The Service is provided by Uneven Bits ApS, CVR 30487842, Dybbølsgade 39, 2. th., 1721 København V, Denmark ("we"), which is your contracting party. By creating an account, you accept these terms on behalf of the business you represent. We may change the terms with 30 days' notice.

2. Businesses only

Consentaur is for businesses only. The person who creates an account must act on behalf of a business and be authorised to bind that business to these terms. Consumers cannot create an account.

3. Description of the Service

Consentaur is a cookie consent platform that helps websites comply with the GDPR and the ePrivacy Directive. The Service includes:

  • a banner script that you add to your websites
  • a cookie scanner that visits your websites like a browser and records the names, domains, lifetimes and categories of the cookies it finds (not the cookies' values)
  • blocking of scripts until consent is given, and Google Consent Mode v2
  • consent records
  • a cookie declaration
  • a dashboard

4. Account and access

  • You are responsible for keeping your login details confidential.
  • You may not share your account with third parties without our consent.
  • We reserve the right to suspend accounts if we suspect misuse.

5. Subscription and payment

Consentaur is offered as a free plan (Free) and as paid subscriptions billed monthly or yearly. Plans and prices are shown on the pricing page.

  • Prices are in Danish kroner (DKK) when you buy through the Danish version of Consentaur, and in euros (EUR) when you buy through the German or English version. All prices exclude VAT.
  • A yearly subscription costs 10 times the monthly price.
  • Payment is made in advance for each subscription period via Stripe.
  • The subscription renews automatically unless cancelled before the end of the period.
  • We reserve the right to change prices with 30 days' notice.

6. Free trial

Paid plans come with a 14-day free trial that does not require a payment card. If you do not choose a paid subscription before the trial ends, the account moves to the Free plan.

7. Cancellation and refunds

  • You can cancel your subscription at any time in the dashboard.
  • After cancelling, you keep access to your plan until the end of the paid period. The account then moves to the Free plan. Cancelling does not delete the account or its data.
  • Periods already paid for are not refunded unless the law or Appendix D.3 of the data processing agreement requires otherwise.

8. Deleting your account and sites

  • You can delete your account under Settings in the dashboard. The deletion takes effect immediately and covers your user, your sites, each site's consent records, cookie scans, scan results, page-view statistics and published banner script, and your team memberships.
  • If you delete your account, any active subscription is cancelled with immediate effect, with no refund for the current period.
  • Invoices are kept with Stripe for 5 years, as the Danish Bookkeeping Act requires. Backups contain data for up to 30 days after the deletion.
  • If you delete a site, the site's consent records, scans, cookie list, statistics and published banner script are deleted immediately.

9. Data processing

When you use Consentaur on your websites, you are the data controller for the consent records about your visitors, and we are your data processor. Our data processing agreement forms part of these terms. How we process personal data as a data controller ourselves is described in our privacy policy.

10. Availability and support

We aim to provide a stable and available service with at least 99.5% uptime. Planned maintenance is announced at least 24 hours in advance. Support is provided in Danish, English and German by email at support@consentaur.com during normal working hours (Monday to Friday, 9:00 to 17:00 Danish time).

11. Disclaimer

Consentaur is a tool that helps with GDPR compliance, but we do not guarantee full legal compliance. As the website owner, you are responsible for making sure that your use of cookies and consent complies with applicable law. We recommend that you consult a legal adviser on specific compliance questions.

12. Limitation of liability

Our total liability is limited to the amount you have paid for the Service in the last 12 months. We are not liable for indirect losses, including loss of profit, business interruption or loss of data.

13. Intellectual property

All rights in the Service, including software, design and content, belong to Uneven Bits ApS. You may not copy, modify or distribute any part of the Service without our written consent.

14. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by Danish law. Any disputes shall be settled by the Danish courts.
